How Makeena created increased brand awareness and shopper attrition

CHALLENGE ​

 

Makeena is a cash back app that rewards shoppers when purchasing healthy, eco-friendly products from their community of socially responsible brands.

​

When you buy products using Makeena, you're essentially supporting the brands it partners with, so it passes some of that cash onto you. Using the app, you can scan product barcodes, upload receipts, and redeem offers in-store to earn points.

 

Maryam provided advisory services to Makeena in order to help them with an increase in brand awareness, shopper acquisition and attrition, sales strategy and go to market strategy. 

SOLUTION

Leveraged the methodology of design thinking to understand client challenges and opportunities, it helped Maryam to design and offer solutions that enhanced brand awareness, shopper acquisitions, repeated sales and loyalty for Makeena. 

RESULTS â€‹

Enhanced brand awareness by 25%, shopper acquisitions by 33%, repeated sales and loyalty by 25% 

 

Built an enhanced data portal where brands will be able to access all receipt data, which includes data about their competition.  

 

Expanded the brand into Canada
